Seems to have been ages since we last played a game! Oh wait a minute is has been!!!!
The only problem is that we are still suffering from the same old problem. Granted we looked much better than we have done for a long time yesterday and created a few chances as well, but as the second half progressed we gradually dropped deeper and deeper into our own half, inviting pressure. If you do this then sooner or later you are going to give a goal away. Defenders get tired, physically and mentally, you give one of them a bit of space (Shevchenko in this instance), great cross, and any striker who is worth his salt pops the ball home (kalou).
Still, as said it was a good performance from the Golden Boys, which even almost brought grudging praise from the match of the day pundits. An interesting lesson for other teams who play Chelsea is that if you match them person for person in their narrow midfield, then they don't know how to play against it. As Aidy Boothroyd said after the game, one of their players is worth more that Watfords annual turnover.
Normally I would be gutted to let in a late goal and lose the game but yesterday I wasn't - I guess when it happens so frequently it stops hurting!
