Kettering Town 3 Farsley Celtic 2

On Tuesday night I popped down to Rockingham Road - Home of the mighty Poppies to take in a game that if they won they would go top of Conference North. Promotion from this league gets you to Conference National - just one league from the football league.

What an entertaining game I saw. Kettering raced into a 2 goal lead in the first 30 minutes only for Farsley to stop them in their tracks with a scrambled goal. Half time 2-1.

In the second half Craig Westcarr scored one of the best goals I will see this season. Running from his own half, beating 4 men and finishing with a shot into the right hand corner of the Farsley goal from the edge of the box.

Farsley made it 3-2, which led to a nervy last 5 minutes.

A very enjoyable evening - all for only a £10 admission fee!
