On her way home this evening to catch the 2315 train from St Pancras Mrs Corby phoned, all excited, to tell me that a Eurostar train was parked in the new St Pancras International station!
The new super fast service starts in November after all, so I suppose they were doing some signalling or catenary testing.
When this opens London to Paris will be achievable in 2 hrs 30 mins (ish)! some reading this probably remenmber when it took the best part of a week to do that particular journey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
